Robert Binyon was born in 1951 and graduated from Christ Church, Oxford in 1972. He joined Morgan Grenfell in 1972 and was responsible for the Group’s operations in Switzerland in 1977-8 and 1981- 4 and from 1986-91 for regional operations in Asia based in Tokyo. He was joint Chief Executive and Managing Director of Tokai Bank Europe from 1991 to 1994. He joined CDC, then the Commonwealth Development Corporation, as Managing Director responsible for the regional and private equity funds that CDC established operates. He relocated to South East Asia, with responsibility for the Asia Pacific Region in October 2000. He is now a consultant to CDC and a Chairman of Aureos Advisers Limited responsible for South East Asia.

Joseph Cherian is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse Asset Management. He is Global Head of Quantitative Resources and a member of CSAM's Global Executive Committee.

Mr Cherian joined Credit Suisse Asset Management in 2004. Prior to this he worked for Banc of America Capital Management, where he was a Managing Director responsible for asset allocation and quantitative research, as well as senior portfolio manager of asset allocation funds. Previously, he was an associate professor of finance at Boston University; additionally taught finance and conducted research at Cornell University and the University of Amsterdam; and consulted for several financial organizations.

Mr Cherian holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in finance from Cornell University. He has authored or co-authored numerous articles for a variety of investment or financial journals and is a review board member of the Research Foundation of the CFA Institute (AIMR).

Pranay joined ABP investments in 2002. As Head of the Global Quantitative Strategies group, Pranay is responsible for managing the Euro 15 bn GQS Fund – a quantitative multi-asset class, multi-strategy fund, investing in developed and emerging equities, fixed income, currency and derivative instruments. He is also a member of the Capital Markets Strategy Team which guides the investment of the Eur 135 bn Capital Markets portfolio.

Prior to joining ABP, Pranay’s previous positions include Global Quantitative Strategist and Chief Investment Strategist for SG Cowen based in Hong Kong, and the Head of Quantitative Research for JP Morgan Fleming Investment Management based in New York.

Pranay holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in Computer Aided Design, an MBA in Finance, and is also a CFA charter holder. He has published research in several journals and contributed to articles in the printed media. He has fourteen years of experience in Quantitative Research and Investment Management.

Michael P. Hennessy is Managing Director at Morgan Creek Capital Management. Morgan Creek provides investment advisory services based on the University Endowment model of investment management to a wide range of clients. MCCM provides best-in-class thinking about asset allocation, manager selection and portfolio construction to wealthy families and institutional investors and individual investors through advisory relationships, proprietary discretionary products, and through commingled vehicles formed in joint venture partnerships with Salient Partners and Hatteras Partners. Morgan Creek will serve as an outsourced investment office for select families and institutions, providing a full range of investment management services based on an investment philosophy developed through extensive experience managing large University portfolios.

Prior to joining Morgan Creek in 2004, Mike was Vice President and Co-Founder of UNC Management Company. UNC Management Company invested a total of $1.5 billion for UNC-Chapel Hill as well as several other UNC-related endowments and foundations. Mr. Hennessy's primary areas of responsibility included domestic equity, international and emerging markets equity, opportunistic equity, absolute return, fixed income and enhanced fixed income (domestic and foreign). Mr. Hennessy also functioned as a portfolio strategist, developing overall investment objectives as well as strategic and tactical asset allocation for the funds. He additionally helped to select private equity, real estate, energy, and other alternative investments, including direct and co-investments. He was also in charge of monitoring individual managers and overall portfolio performance, as well as risk management.

Prior to joining UNC in 1999, Mr. Hennessy was Investment Director at Duke Management Company (Duke University) where he was responsible for managing $3 billion consisting of the Long Term (Endowment) Pool, the Employees' Retirement Pool, and various other investment pools of University-related funds. He led Duke’s primary responsibility for each asset class at various points in time.

Before joining Duke in 1991, Mr. Hennessy was an Associate at Smith Breeden Associates, a quantitative investment management firm with offices in Chapel Hill, NC, and Boulder, CO.

Mr. Hennessy received his M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and holds a B.S. in Philosophy, Psychology and Mathematics from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va. Mr. Hennessy is Director of Rhapsody Diversified Fund, Treasurer of Duke University Federal Credit Union, and a member of the Carolina Friends School Investment Committee and Carolina Friends School Board of Trustees.

Current Responsibilities
Mr. Johnson is an International Director of Jones Lang LaSalle responsible for Corporate Finance and Investments within Capital Markets, Asia Pacific. Aref Karim, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, carries overall responsibility for Quality Capital Management Ltd. (‘QCM’)’s investment strategies and research. QCM is a UK based ‘boutique’ hedge fund manager regulated by the FSA in the UK and registered as a CTA and a CPO with the CFTC in the US. Mr. Karim originally developed the models used to manage QCM’s investments.

Mr Karim qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the UK in 1978 and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He served as Senior Audit Manager with a firm of Chartered Accountants in London until 1982 when he left the UK to take up a position with a multi-billion dollar quasi government investment institution in the Middle East. The organisation, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (“ADIA”), is a unique institution investing globally in various asset classes, including alternative investments, for the long-run preservation of the country’s wealth.

During the 13 plus years at ADIA, Mr Karim was involved in the design and launch of the first ADIA external hedge fund programme for the Institution. This programme, launched in 1988, has today become the single largest institutional investment programme of its kind in the global hedge fund industry. As the senior investment manager for the Alternative Investment department of ADIA, Mr Karim was responsible for the departments’ investment policies, its strategies and asset allocation. Mr Karim managed this programme until 1995 when he left Abu Dhabi to return to the UK to set up QCM.

Today, QCM offers three ‘long volatility’ investment programmes, and the company has a nine year + operating history.

Stuart Leckie is based in Hong Kong and advises on pensions and investments in Hong Kong and Mainland China. He is the author of books titled “Pension Funds in China” and “Investment Funds in China”. He was founding Chairman of the Hong Kong Retirement Schemes Association.
Mr. Leckie worked in life insurance in the UK before moving to Hong Kong in 1979. He served as the Chairman of Watson Wyatt in Asia - Pacific and as Chairman of Fidelity Investments, Asia-Pacific. He has advised the Chinese Government on pensions reform.

Markus Ruffner is a co-founder of NPB New Private Bank Ltd. (NPB), a Zurich based private bank. Peter R. Ryder - Peter is one of the founding Managing Directors of
Indochina Capital. Prior to forming Indochina Capital, Mr. Ryder served as
the President and Chief Representative for Manolis & Company Asia
(1992-1995) and LukeMax Company (1996-1998), privately held US investment
companies active in Vietnam. During this period, acting as a principal, he
engineered the development and establishment of numerous private sector
enterprises, including Communication, Power & Design, one of the first 100%
foreign-owned licensed IT companies operating in Vietnam (founded in 1996
and sold in 1998 to Datacraft Asia, one of the region's largest
datacommunications firm, listed on the Singapore stock exchange); BTC
Limited, a private company specializing in the distribution of skin care and
cosmetic products; and, in joint venture with the Jardine's Group, 63 Ly
Thai To, Hanoi's premier commercial property and the World Bank's country
headquarters. He is or was on the Board of each of these enterprises.

Peter was formerly head of Salomon Brothers' Asia-Pacific real estate
finance business and was with Salomon Brothers for a total of nine years in
Tokyo and New York (1983 and 1991). As head of Asia-Pacific real estate,
Peter was responsible for US$3 billion of sales and financings of
commercial, residential and hotel and resort projects located in North
America, Europe, Asia and Australia with a variety of American, European and
Asian investors.

In addition, Peter was the Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce in
Vietnam from 1999-2001 and has been a Board member since the Chamber's
founding in 1994. Currently, Peter is the Chairman of the Chamber's Hanoi
tourism committee.

Peter holds an MA in Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and a
BA in Anthropology from Beloit College. He speaks English, Spanish, French
and Vietnamese and lives in Hanoi with his wife, a native of the city, and
their two children.
