About the Conference

Influencers and decision makers must be innovative, connected and savvy when it comes to evaluating the options – knowing what solutions are out there – what has been tried, what has succeeded, what has failed. Learning from peers and other experts is key in formulating strategies for success – and there is no better place than at Cards Australia 2005.

The Cards Australia 2004 conference brought together end users, speakers and sponsors for two days of intense learning and open discussion about smart-card and payment technology and applications. Attendees came from multiple industries to hear presentations from a hand picked panel of speakers. Great emphasis was placed on case studies detailing actual deployments.

The Cards Australia 2004 conference attracted over 150 senior participants. They included high-ranking executives from:

·         American Express

·         ASIC

·         Bank of Queensland

·         BP Australia

·         Coles Myer

·         Macquarie Bank

·         Ministry of Transport

·         Police and Nurses Credit Society

·         RBA

·         ANZ Banking Corporation

·         Bank of New Zealand

·         BankWest

·         Centrelink

·         Credit Union Australia

·         Metlink

·         National Australia Bank

·         Queensland Transport

Cards Australia 2005 will bring together the industry leaders who are setting the standards, testing the technology, and implementing pilot projects. It will feature real-world case studies from the vanguard companies, those making smartcards a reality in their business today.

Our conference will feature:

·         Visionary keynote presentations

·         International presenters

·         A case study based programme that ensures quality information

·         Dynamic panel sessions

·         Presenters that are active participants in the Australian wireless enterprise market

·         Premium workshops and break-out sessions led by wireless enterprise experts

We are currently researching next year’s conference program and invite your comments or suggestions. The conference will focus on, but not be limited to the following areas:

·         State of play in Australia

·         Cards payments and transactions

·         Authentication and User ID

·         Multi-application smartcards

·         Card-based applications in loyalty

·         EMV migration

·         Deployments in transport, health, education and other industries

Presenters and panellists will be leaders from the Australian and international smartcard arena. There will be an accent on case studies, practical examples and interactive panel sessions.

There are a limited number of opportunities for sponsors to participate in the conference presentations. These are available on a “first come” basis.
